Not my real name. Marfisa is a character in Orlando Innamorato by Boiardo and in Orlando Furioso by Ariosto. Kidnapped and sold as a slave in Persia at only 7 years old. She later killed her master and conquered his kingdom when he tried to ravish her. By the time she was eighteen, this maiden knight had conquered 7 kingdoms. |
